Review: DeskMate Wireless Charging Pad

152 words

I purchased the DeskMate Wireless Charging Pad on February 5 for shared use at our reception desk at Lakeshore Financial. The device arrived on February 7 and was operational within minutes—no software installation was required. It charges two phones simultaneously, and the LED indicator turns green when each device reaches full battery. The main concern is heat. After about three hours of continuous charging, the pad becomes noticeably warm. I contacted the manufacturer through their website on February 10, and a representative responded the same day, explaining that the warmth is normal but recommending a ventilated surface. Another minor issue is that the rubber feet on the bottom are thin and slip on glass desks. Our office manager placed a small mat underneath, which solved the problem. At $34.99, the DeskMate is affordable and reliable for offices with multiple visitors who need to charge devices during appointments.

Subject: Office Supply Order—Approval Needed by Thursday

152 words

Subject: Office Supply Order—Approval Needed by Thursday Hi Sandra, I've compiled the quarterly office supply order for our department. The total comes to $487.50, which is within our $500 budget. The order includes printer paper, toner cartridges, sticky notes, and filing folders. I also added a box of whiteboard markers since several team members reported that the ones in Conference Room A are nearly empty. I need your approval by Thursday, March 21, at noon so I can submit the purchase request to Procurement before their Friday deadline. The supplier has confirmed that orders placed by March 22 will arrive within five business days. One thing to note: the price of toner cartridges has increased by 12% since last quarter. If you'd prefer, I can look into a different brand that might be less expensive. Let me know. Thanks, Kevin Park Administrative Assistant

Review: BrightView LED Desk Lamp

162 words

Reviewed by: Sarah Kim, Accounting Department Posted: March 28 Our team ordered four BrightView LED desk lamps for individual workstations after our overhead lighting was dimmed to save energy. Each lamp arrived fully assembled and plugged in directly—no batteries are needed. The adjustable arm reaches about 18 inches, which covers most of the desk surface. The three brightness settings are useful. I typically work on the medium setting, but the highest setting is helpful when reviewing printed financial statements. The light does not flicker, which was a concern with our previous desk lamps. One drawback is the power button location. It is on the base, hidden under the arm when the lamp is angled downward. This makes it awkward to turn on in the morning. Customer support suggested rotating the arm upward first, but that should not be necessary. At $27 per unit, the BrightView is a practical choice for offices looking to supplement reduced overhead lighting.
